Thinking of You

LOVE the softness of this one! I used a fun color blocking technique to highlight the pretty pinks and the floral details! Very simple, but very pretty, too!

Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you head over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to check out the inspiration parade and play along!

I {heart} Nature

Happy Friday, folks!

I'm here with a fun card I made for the Market Street Stamps blog!

I am LOVING these new sets from Kim Geiser! SO funky and FUN!

For this one, I started off with a small rectangle of white cardstock. I cut a circle out of white copy paper and attached the negative to the cardstock with repositional tape. Then, I blended Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap and Pumice Stone) inside the circle to create this fun "moon" effect.

I stamped the branch from Woodland over the moon and colored it with Copics. Then I added that swete little owl! Isn't he so cute?! I stamped the frame, cut it out with my craft knife and adhered it with foam tape.

I thought it would be cool to hang the little scene from a "clothesline"- I really like the look of it!

Here's a closeup of that sweet owl:

CAS-ual Fridays 57: Clear as day

Hi!

Happy Father's Day to the very few men that visit my blog! HAHA!

And happy "do everything for your husband/father day" to all the ladies!

I'm here with my card for the challenge from

cfc57

This week you have to use acetate or vellum on your projects! FUN!

Our sponsor this week is our very own Karolyn!

:

She has designed 6 beautiful stamp sets for Paper Smooches and she's offering up ALL OF THEM to our winner this week!

Here's my card:

I LOVE using vellum (and acetate) to layer different background and image elements. I started by stamping the grid pattern on a sheet of bright blue paper. Then, I heat embossed these polka dots on a sheet of vellum. I layered the vellum over the blue sheet and got this beautiful pale blue color and a really fun background pattern! I cut a quick frame out of black cardstock to hide the adhesive I used to attach the vellum!

Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you head over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to check out the inspiration parade and play along!
