Market Street BLOCK PARTY!!

Hi, everyone! Are you ready for the Block Party this month! We had so much fun partying with you last month- I'm super excited to do it again!

Big CONGRATS to Kryssi who won the Guest Designer spot from last months Block Party- her card just blew us away!

I can't wait to see what you all make this week!

Details:

This will be a monthly linky party to keep you busy while you wait for your stamps to come in the mail after a new release! Not only is it a fun place to hang out, but you could win some fabulous prizes, one being a GUEST DESIGN TEAM SPOT! I can't think of a better prize than working with this fabulous Design Team!

I thought I'd play along and link up this month! It's really as easy as making ANY project using Market Street Stamps and linking on the MSS blog! Easy peasy!

Here's what I made:

FUN, FUN, FUN! Love this new set from Market Street Stamps! It's called Night Owls and it's FULL of super cute images and punny sentiments... love it!

For the "tree" part of my card, I clear embossed the Woodgrain background stamp and then inked over it with Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Great resist background- very rustic looking!

I paper pieced the owl with some papers from the Studio Calico Memoir Collection! I finally cut into that beautiful paper and now I can't stop using it!

That word bubble is from the Cheep Talk set- it works really well with a lot of different MSS sentiments- don't be afraid to mix and match stamp sets!

SOOOOO... who's celebrating World Card Making Day tomorrow!! I will be! Make sure you stop by tomorrow- I've linked up on the Paper Crafts WCMD Blog Tour! See the entire list of participants HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful FRIDAY!!

So.... here is a sneak peek of the new set from Market Street Stamps: COMFORT FOOD (available tomorrow night!)!

This set is FULL of stamps that are great to use on your homemade treats that you give as gifts! It's also perfect for dressing up recipe cards, bake sale tags, and fun things like this "Soup in a Jar" idea!

I had so much fun making this "Soup in a Jar" ensemble- it's perfect for a friend who's feeling under the weather or even for that friend that needs a pick-me-up!

Here's a close up of the card:

I pulled out the Studio Calico Memoir collection for this project- I LOVE the color scheme and the vintage country feel is perfect for this one! I paper pieced the pot with a piece of the more neutral patterns and inked it up with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink for a worn look! How cute is that sentiment??

And here's a close up of the tag hanging from the jar lid:

How country chic is that? Love it..... I die cut the tag and covered each side with patterned paper. then I added all these fun elements- a strip of coordinating patterned paper along the bottom, a printed title that I cut up and adhered with foam tape, that super SWEET apron stamp, and a hand drawn signature and hearts.

The tag is tied around the lid of the jar with satin ribbon that is attached to the tag with a fun button and some twine!

The denim was a last minute touch and totally completed the project for me! I have an old pair of jeans that I keep on hand for tearing up and using on crafty projects- go through your closet, I'm sure you've got a pair or two you could sacrifice for crafty projects, too! HAHA! I ripped a square off the leg of the jeans, inked em up really good with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, and secured it in the lid of the jar! Such a cool rustic/country look!

For those interested: here is what I included in the jar! Directions are printed on the opposite side of the tag- super simple!
(You can add these into the jar in any order- it's all gonna be dumped in a pot anyway!)
1/2 cup lentils
2 tbsp dried onion flakes
1 1/2 tbsp chicken bouillon granules
1 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp dried dill
1/8 tsp celery seed
1/4 tsp garlic powder
noodles to fill the jar

I hope you enjoyed my project tonight- I had so much fun making it! Make sure you check out the Market Street Stamps blog tonight for even more inspiration using the brand new Comfort Foods set! It's a MUST HAVE!

Thanks for stopping by!

MSS Market Fresh Sketch Challenge!

Hi! I hope you're all doing well this morning! I'm here today to share a card I made for the latest Market Street Stamps challenge on the MSS blog! Please take a look- there's a fab prize and plenty of time to play!

Here's the challenge:

And here's my card:

Used lots of fun masking on this one! I started by taking a sheet of copy paper and cutting a bunch of circles in it. Then, I placed the copy paper over the Plum Pudding cardstock and stamped the Sweet Lace background stamp with Fresh Snow ink. Took off the copy paper layer and I had this fun background pattern!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you play along, can't wait to see what you make!

Wonderful Friend.....

Hi, there! So, SO sorry for the quiet here on the blog-o. It's been a BUSY week and we're still adjusting to everything going on lately. Also, thanks to all of you who commented on my "Blog your heart" post- that's the first time I've really written anything so personal on my blog and the response felt really great. Thank you all for the hugs, thoughts, and prayers! You're the best!

So today I would like to share one of the seven reject cards I have from the latest Paper Crafts call! I am very happy to report that one of the eight I submitted has been picked up! YAY! There were a record number of submissions for the March/April issue and I'm very excited to be one of the designers to have a card in the issue! I thought I'd share this card and link it up at the beautiful Amber Daigre's Reject Blog Hop! So fun, right!? Love it.

So here's my card:

I entered this one into two seperate categories: Spectrum of Color and Masking. LOVE that feather stamp from the Amy Tangerine collection from American Crafts. Love the whole collection, actually!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow morning with a card for the new Market Street Stamps challenge that starts tomorrow! See you there!
